Centenary
| Our global centenary celebrations have at last begun!... What will you be doing to celebrate…? If you want to find out what’s going on around the world, or if you want to add your own ideas, please visit the centenary section. |
Our Centenary Ambassadors throughout Africa have been busy planning their celebrations. In Malawi, the Girl Guides will focus on fundraising and growing membership. In South Africa, Centenary Ambassador Mpho Motale launched the Ceremonial Spade which will be the country’s centenary mascot for the Association’s year long celebrations. The spade will travel through all 25 regions of the country. In Madagascar, the Association is planning a celebration as part of the Africa Regional Conference.
Don’t forget to register for the Young Women’s World Forum 2010, a unique event for young women from each of our Member Organizations addressing the UN Millennium Development Goals which takes place in the UK in October. This will be followed by two more forums for girls and young women in 2011 and 2012.
