Women of excellence

The awards were presented as part of the International Conference held at the Multi-disciplinary Centre for Modern Societies Studies from 27 to 29 March.

The three members of the Ivory Coast Catholic Girl Guides Association honoured with the ‘Women of Excellence’ award are:

Djekat Nora, a 12 year old Brownie in St Pierre. She received the ‘Best Brownie’ award at the Brownie Carnival 2007. She won six medals in six competitions in which she took part. She was selected for her creativity and excellence. 

Ledjou Sarah, a 18 year old Guide Leader in Ste Marie. She has created and leads a Brownie unit and a Guide unit at her school. She was selected for her involvement in the school extra-curriculum activities, and her community spirit within the school.

Allegbe Doris-Marcelle, National Commissioner for the Educational Programme. She was selected for her dynamic attitude and sense of responsibility.

The ‘Women of excellence’ prize was awarded to 50 dynamic women for the excellence of their actions.
